Have you been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (PD) or other neurological challenges? We offer classes to help you build strength, improve flexibility, enhance balance, regulate emotions, and nurture the mind-body connection.

Parkinson's disease (PD) affects around 10 million people worldwide and one million in the U.S. Most diagnosed are over 60, but about 225,000 Americans with Parkinson’s are 50 or younger.

PD is a chronic, progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting neurons in the substantia nigra, which controls movement. These neurons produce dopamine, essential for coordinating movement. As PD progresses, dopamine production decreases, leading to symptoms like shaking, stiffness, slower movements, and falls.

Support Groups

Care Partners Support Group

Care partners play a multifaceted role, assisting loved ones with physical and mental challenges while also caring for themselves. They manage medical, physical, cognitive, emotional, and financial concerns, often overlooking their own needs. Supporting a partner through Parkinson’s disease (PD) adds to the complexity.

YogaReach sessions are designed for care partners—siblings, spouses, children, aides, or anyone in a supportive role. These adaptive sessions help maintain balance and well-being while navigating emotions.

Focus on your role as a care partner, discuss changes, attend to your needs, and share support in our educational journey. Our adaptive movements, restorative poses, and individualized support create a social networking group.
